Accelerated Professional Pilot Course

Course Application

This course is designed for the person that wants to complete their Private, Instrument, and Commercial ratings in 6 to 10 months.  An applicant may plan on flying one flight lesson per day which entails 1.2 hours of ground school, and briefings and a 1.3-hour flight, a 2-hour group class, and then 3 hours of self-study each day, six days a week for the Private Pilot License.

The instrument rating will be started after the instrument written is completed and will be flown in 14 to 21 days with two flight lessons per day flying around the United States to provide good practice with air traffic control. Each instrument flight lesson consists of 1.5-hour ground school and briefings and 2.2-hour flight on average.

The commercial rating will then be completed on a basis of one or two flights per day until all training requirements are completed.  During the entire program you may plan on 150 hours in a Cessna 172, 50 hours in a T-41 (Cessna 172 with 210 HP) and 65 hours in a Cessna 182 for a total of 265 flying hours.  Within the program you will also complete our Mountain flying courses and have your high-performance endorsement.  If a Certified Flight Instructor rating is desired after this course, we would be happy to continue your training to obtain that rating for an additional charge.  We start this program twice a year.

The next starting date will be 1 May 2025, and we are accepting applications for that date at this time.  We only select two to four candidates for each class.

The entire program includes 265 hours flying time, 440 hours of dual instruction (ground and air), hotels when traveling around the country on the instrument rating, all online courses getting you ready for the written exams, Check ride fees for the first attempt on each rating or license, and pilot supplies which include (headset, kneeboard, foggles, Oral books, ACS books, and airplane manuals).  We do not include your accommodation or meals during the course.  From May until October our normal operations are out of Polson, Mt (8S1), from October to March we select a warmer part of the country for our training.

Total cost for the entire program is $90,200.00.  $10,000 will be placed into your flying account and the rest of the funds will be placed into an escrow account that will be withdrawn twice a month to maintain a $10,000.00 balance on your flying account.
